Welcome to 2016, a Presidential Election Year. If you think that the right wingers have been ginning up fear for the last 3 years (and driving corporate media coverage, as well), you ain’t seen nothing yet.
Let me start with some appropriate theme music for 2016:
x YouTube VideoYup. Full on fear. Think of Donald Trump swimming in the water. Or just his orange or gray toupee swimming in the water. With sharp teeth and an enormous appetite. Be afraid.
Did I mention that it’s a Presidential Election Year? Yeah. And since the last one, you’ve been told to be afraid of even more “others” than ever before. Even Syrian toddlers are now so fear inducing that Republicans insist they must be banned from even thinking about coming to the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave (we’re really going to need to rewrite that part of our National Anthem).
This year they'll be pulling out all the stops to keep their voters very, very, very afraid.
