Janet Protasiewicz will be sworn in as a member of the Wisconsin State Supreme Court on August 1 and change the balance of the court in our favor. This will be the first time the court has had a liberal majority since 2008 and help undo the hellscape that former Governor Scott Walker and his Republican legislative majorities created here. These include an 1849 abortion law that went into effect post Dobbs, union busting, voter suppression, and one of the worst gerrymandered map (twice) in the country. And that’s just the start.
