There will be none of that in Wisconsin
I could hear Wisconsin Governor Scott (I failed at becoming President) Walker cackle with glee with the only moderate Judge on the Wisconsin State Supreme Court died in his chambers recently. It gave him yet another opportunity to promote the interests of his favorite wingnut, Rebecca Bradley, by appointing her to her THIRD judicial posting in 3 years.
Republican Gov. Scott Walker on Friday appointed state Appeals Judge Rebecca Bradley to the Wisconsin Supreme Court, strengthening conservative control of the high court and giving Bradley a boost in her bid for a full term in the spring.

Patrick Crooks died last month and at 44 could serve on the court for decades to come — provided she wins the 10-year term this spring She already had close ties to Walker, who appointed her to the Milwaukee County bench in 2012 and the Milwaukee-based District 1 Court of Appeals this May.
That's right. The 44 year old Bradley doesn't have much experience and she's gotten all of her judgeships based on the appointment power of Scott Walker. Those appointments make her an incumbent judge when she runs for election, a boost for her and always successful since she makes sure voters KNOW she's the incumbent as though she earned the seat rather than as an appointee.
